Wife Material (behind the scenes)

Things don’t always turn out the way we want them to, for instance,  the day you decide to rush for something in pajamas and slippers is the day you bump into all the people who know you, but the day you are very sharply dressed, not even a single familiar face crosses your path. And in my case the day i set aside a day to be lazy(which includes no cooking) is the day my good friend decided she’d be dropping by for supper.

Of course i wasn’t going to tell her not to come just because i was too lazy to cook and to add on to that, the only food i had was some chicken from a fast-food restaurant in town(Sanford to be precise). Oh, and being me, i don’t like to disappoint so i had to get creative really fast.

Solution to my problems:  I cut some onions, tomatoes, coriander and hoho to make some stew out of my chicken leftovers and boiled some rice to accompany it. This was one of those days when i surprise myself- I didn’t expect my “cheat meal” to turn out so well.

When she finally arrived for supper…(i don’t need to tell you how much she loved the food 😉 ) A classmate of mine also happened to pass by just in time for supper. Now he fell in love with the food, head over heels!! So in love that he even left some to eat for lunch the following day. He even told our class clique that they had to set aside a day to experience “Sal’s chicken”  Haha! if only he knew 😀 😀

Points to note

  • I can actually cook pretty well, i just had to fix a quick not so demanding meal because it was “lazy day”.
  • Ladies, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! 😉 . Not that i have put the theory to test , but it got me branded a good wife.. so up your cooking game!

And that is how i acquired my “wife material”  title.
